PAT TESTING READING

INSPECTION
The first step is to inspect each appliance with a formal visual inspection, including the following:

Manufacturer’s instructions
Suitability
Mechanical damage
Weather hazards
Condition & risk
The appliance is then ready for testing

TEST
The second step is to test each appliance using the latest equipment, including the following:

Earth continuity test
Insulation resistance test
Functional test
Power lead testing
Polarity check
The appliance is ready for reporting

REPORT
The final step is to formally report on the tested appliances including the following:

Barcode label applied (optional)
Pass or failed label applied
Register of tested appliances
Power lead testing
Reports provided in PDF, Word or Excel format
Now your PAT Testing is complete
